The BC Soccer Referees Association welcomes new members.

The BCSRA is an associate member of BC Soccer, working to be educational arm of refereeing. The BCSRA is the parent body of area associations as well as a number of direct members. If you live in an area covered by an area association, you will register with them and be a member of BCSRA automatically. We have area associations in Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Prince George, Kamloops, and on Vancouver Island.

There are many benefits to joining the association:

Access to schedulers for affiliated games and tourneys.
Wide-ranging social network
Education sessions at monthly area association meetings.
Forum in which to bring up problems and questions.
Includes membership with the CSRA and area association (if available).
Access to library which includes video tapes, books, magazines, etc. in area associations.
Periodic issues of the “Flag and Whistle”, the official newsletter of the BC Soccer Referees Association published at least 3 times per year.
A membership card and of the emblem of the association you can wear, with BC Soccer’s approval, on your left shoulder.
A membership reward (for 2005-2006 it was a commemorative tossing coin. For 2006-2007 it will be a referee scorepad).
For referees living in the geographical boundaries of an area association. Those Class 3 (and up) referees wishing to join, but living outside of the boundaries of an area association may join as Direct Members.

The Referees Assn Membership year matches the BC Soccer Association registration year (May 1- Apr 30 for referees living in the interior, Oct 1 - Sept 30 for referees in the coastal region).

The BC Soccer Referees Association is now 35 years old. If you would like to join a society of your peers please register by cheque, cash, or money order and accompany it the latest Registration form. Please complete this form and send it and the fee to the address on the form.

Membership in the Referees Association is open to all referees providing proof of having taken and passed an introductory course from BC Soccer is shown, or information given which can be traced back to BC Soccer Assn records, or if coming from out of the province documentation to show one was a referee in that region. Anyone wishing to take an introductory referee course should contact the provincial governing body for the sport, BC Soccer, at 604-299-6401.

** By joining the BC Soccer Referees Association you are making a statement that you wish to have your name distributed to the Refereeing community and concordant bodies including fellow Referee Association members, Referee Schedulars, fellow Referee Associations in the province of BC and Canada, the provincial governing body for the sport (i.e. BC Soccer), and the Canadian Soccer Association.

If this is not true then it is your responsibility to let us know IN WRITING WITHIN 30 DAYS of submission of your form. Otherwise we will assume that you do want your name placed on any list going to the above mentioned people/organizations. During this time your name will be limited to fellow Referee Associations
