Due to civic elections being held on November 15^th province-wide, this year’s Fall Council Meeting will be scheduled for Saturday, November 22^nd. The host Vancouver Area Association (VASRA) has indicated the venue will be Richmond High School.   

Call to order will be at 900am and the meeting will be a timed event with completion set for 12pm to allow members to officiate games locally and those from Vancouver Island to catch the 1pm ferry from Tsawassen Ferry Terminal. Those coming from Vancouver Island who wish to be picked up at Tsawassen should contact either RA President Elvio Chies (Lvo@direct.ca) or VASRA President Marc Bowley (marcbowley@primus.ca) to arrange for a pickup.

Michelle Pye has been appointed to the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup. She will be leaving October 20^th for the tournament to be held in New Zealand. The Referees Association congratulates Michelle Pye on her appointment and asks all members to join in and wish her the very best.

Joining Michelle in FIFA Womens’ World Cup tournaments will be Carol Anne Chenard of Montreal. Carol Anne has been appointed to the FIFA Womens’ U-20 World Cup which will be held in Chile.

Fraser Valley SRA President Dave Miller invites all members to attend the FVSRA Christmas Part on Saturday, December 9^th. This year the event will return to its roots: The Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Aldergrove. Cost for tickets is $35 per person or $70 per couple.
