BCSRA VP STEPS DOWN

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

It is with deep regret that I inform the membership that Suzanne Flannigan is stepping down from her position as Vice-President effective July 30th. Suzanne has been on the Provincial Executive for the last 3 years in addition to being a Director on the Board of Directors of BC Soccer. Citing her responsibilities as a board member of the British Columbia Soccer Association in relation to referees, she has indicated she will not be able to ably perform both roles in a productive manner. We thank Suzanne for her time and expertise on the Executive and know that she will continue to work for the betterment of referees. It has been a pleasure to have her on board and we hope to see her connected in some capacity in the future with the Referees Association.

Pursuant to the By-Laws of our society, the Provincial Executive is empowered to appoint a replacement to fill her position until the position is up for election at the Annual General Meeting in May 2009.
